Below are some of the more common questions that we are asked on a regular basis. If there is anything you wish to know that is not answered below please contact us for more information.

What should I expect during my first massage therapy visit?
I will require you to fill out a health history form. I will begin by asking you general questions to establish what areas you would like worked on, if there are any conditions needing to be addressed and to determine if massage is appropriate for you. I may also perform certain assessments and testing to evaluate your condition, and to see if you have any presenting complaints.

What do I wear during the massage?
Depending on the technique I use, you may or may not need to undress. For a full body massage, most people undress completely. However, you may choose to wear underwear. I will give you privacy to undress, and you will be covered with a sheet and blanket at all times except the area being worked on.

How long will a massage treatment last?
The average full-body massage treatment lasts approximately 60minutes. A half-hour appointment only allows time for a partial massage session, such as neck and shoulders, back or just legs. Always allow relaxation time prior to and after the session.

How will I feel after the treatment?
Most people feel extremely relaxed after their treatment. Some experience relief straight away from their aches and pains. Others may feel tender at the areas worked for a day or so, and then after the initial period will feel relief, generally better range of movement, increased energy, and greater productivity. Since toxins are released from your soft tissues during a massage, it is highly recommended you drink plenty of water following your massage.

Do You guarantee fixing problems?
No. You may need a few treatments and there is also a possibility that it may not work the first time or it may not work for you. It is important to understand I can only advise you on your condition to the best of my ability.
